AA [EmTech] programme investigates new synergies of architecture and ecology at the intersection of computational design and advanced fabrication, focusing on their potential to generate transformative architectural, urban, and ecological solutions within emerging biomes. EmTech stimulates critical thinking through research-driven design projects developed in a rigorous, highly creative studio environment. Projects evolve iteratively through an explicit cycle of hypothesis, experimentation, physical fabrication, and computational evaluation, which students articulate through verbal presentations, group discussions, and analytical research papers. Ultimately, EmTech’s contribution to the discourse of architectural innovation is twofold: advancing the frontier of fabrication technologies and material sciences, and driving design technology and software innovation to address the complex ecological challenges of the built environment.
